Product Safety
Our pottery is food safe and meets the safety standards of both the US and California for food use. Our pieces are made from high fired clay and lead free glazes. Our pottery is 100% free from lead and cadmium. We carefully source our materials and follow strict protocols to ensure each piece is safe for everyday use.
Our glazes are free from heavy metals, and we fire our pottery at high temperatures (nearly 2,300 degrees!) to fully seal the glaze, ensuring no materials could leach into your food. We are committed to making heirloom-quality pottery that’s as safe as it is stunning.
Product Care
Our pottery is safe for the dishwasher and microwave, making it perfect for daily use. You can put the pottery in the freezer and oven-safe (up to 450°F). However, to keep your pottery in top condition, avoid sudden temperature changes.
Do not move a cold piece directly from the fridge to a hot oven, or vice versa—let it gradually adjusts to the temperature. We recommend not using the oven for temperatures above 450°F and never broil with it.
If you notice any hairline cracks, they may expand under extreme heat, so always check your piece before baking or freezing. Pottery with gold cannot be microwaved. The gold we use is real 22K gold and will spark in the microwave. We also recommend hand washing to retain the luster and quality of the gold.
We strive to make out pottery and durable and useful as possible. Please keep in mind it is pottery and not indestructible. It can break or chip when in harsh contact with hard surfaces.
